So easy to prepare; just heat, enhance with garnish or a drizzle of sauce, and present on a simple platter. Alternatively cover in white wine, garlic butter or pesto then gently grill or bake until the mussel is warm - an ideal appetiser with very little preparation.
Consider adding Aotearoa Seafoods Halfshell Mussels to a variety of dishes including pastas and paellas. It is important to remember that the delicate mussel meat is blanched prior to freezing and hence requires only minimal cooking for best result. Care should be taken to avoid over cooking.

Aotearoa Seafoods Halfshell Mussels are available in a variety of sizes and packing formats - small (40-55 pieces per kg), medium (30-40 pieces per kg) or large (20-30 pieces per kg) - and are typically packed in either 10 x 1kg, 20 x 1lb and 12 x 2lb formats.

Storage Requirements
It is important to store Frozen Halfshell Mussels at -18°C or colder. Thaw in the refrigerator for up to 8 hours; once thawed, consume within 3 days. Do not refreeze. Frozen Halfshell Mussels should be consumed within 18 months of date of production.
